The 'Goat' is a very useful animal. Goats are among the earliest animals domesticated by humans. They have a four-chambered stomach consisting of the rumen, the reticulum, the omasum, and the abomasum. They have horizontal slit-shaped pupils, an adaptation which increases peripheral depth perception. Their tails are short and point up.

Goats are very common in our country. They are useful to humans both alive and dead. We get milk from the she-goats. Their milk is very nutritious. Their milk is a fine food for the little babies. The hill-goats carry loads along the hills. The horn of the goat is also used to make spoons etc. 

THE Goat is a domestic animal. It is found in almost every country of the world. It has four legs two long ears, two horns and a short tail. It  is of many kinds and colours. Some goats are so thin that they weigh about ten to fifteen kilos. But there are others that weigh thirty to forty kilos. But there are others that weigh thirty to forty kilos, or even more. The hoofs of a goat are cloven like those of a cow. It has thick hair all over its body. It cats grass, grams and leave of trees and thorny shrubs with great delight. The she-goat has two teats that are about six inches in length. Many people use her milk, as we use the milk of a cow or a buffalo. But its smell is a bit different from the milk that is usually sold in the market. Many monkey-men train it to do clever tricks. Its skin is used for making boots, shoes and gloves. It meat is very delicious, and many people prefer it to the meat of a sheep.
